The baobab bears a hard-shelled fruit that keeps a tangy white pulp and many seeds inside. The fruit gets through the dry season, travels from hand to hand, and each seed can become another tree far away.
Baobáxia is the knowledge network of Rede Mocambos. Each community has its own mucua — a computer that keeps the community's archive, works without internet and exchanges knowledge with other mucuas whenever a path appears. This book is for people who use Baobáxia: those who keep the photos of the festival, write down grandma's recipe, schedule this month's workshop, tell the story of the quilombo, chat with the bot on their phone. No computer knowledge needed.
The chapters follow the path of a fruit: arriving under the tree, planting, tending, harvesting, gathering, carrying it in your pocket, and sharing.
