Baobáxia is the knowledge network of Rede Mocambos: each community has its own mucua (the community's machine — we don't call it a server: it's care, not exploitation), owner of its own data, which works without internet and exchanges sabers (pieces of knowledge) with the others whenever there is a path — internet, Tor, local network or a USB stick carried on foot.
This course is for the people who will look after this code: read it, fix it, teach it. It follows the shape of a baobab. The baobab stores water in its trunk to get through the drought; Baobáxia stores sabers on disk to get through the lack of network. The stories say the baobab was planted upside down, with its roots towards the sky — and in Baobáxia there are roots in both directions too: underground (git, disk, keys) and up high (the mucuas that meet).
